Slip and Slide Fun

So Kristen is 39 weeks pregnant this coming Thursday the 24th!!  She looks and feels wonderful!!  I will give you a quick update on Mommy and Baby after you enjoy these wonderful pictures of Sophia!!  On Sunday we had a great time in the back yard on our Slip N Slide!!  I was able to take some pictures of Soph enjoying the water!! We had temp's in the low 90's, it was a beautiful Saturday and Sunday.

Our baby's crown-to-rump length at this time is approximately 14.4 inches and the total length is approximately 21.5 inches. The average baby weighs anywhere between 5- 7 pounds now and is getting prepared for birth. Kristen is probably as big as she will get at this point.  The heat is the only thing that makes her uncomfortable now. When she is in A/C she is loving life.  Most women gain between 25 and 35 pounds during their pregnancy. Kristen has gained... I was born at night just not last night... that information is given on a need to know basis... I actually don't even know... At least that's the story i'm sticking to...

Although our baby continues to grow and develop inside Kristens uterus, there is not much room for her to move about. All of our baby's organ systems are now complete and the lungs were the last to fully mature.

Parental Discretion is advised for this next paragraph.
Most women are ready to deliver their babies.  Kristens uterus has grown a lot and now fills her entire pelvis and abdomen. Her cervix is ripening in preparation for delivery and her bladder is under a lot of pressure.  We are on the look out for contractions to get worse... even when Kristen starts to move around and they will probably get stronger and more frequent as well. Other signs of labor are the breaking of her water (Like with Sophia.)

Most of the lanugo on our baby should be gone by now. Our baby still may have some on her shoulders and on some of the smaller parts of her body. Our baby's toenails have reached the end of her toes. The umbilical cord is about a half inch thick. The umbilical cord still supplies the baby with nutrients that she needs. After delivery, our baby's umbilical cord will be clamped and cut. After it is cut, she will be an independent human being and must perform all of her body functions on her own. Our baby will get antibodies from Kristens body that gives her immune system a boost

Thanks for visiting and we will keep you updated!!

Mini Mud Room

Ok, So here you will see more of the pictures to what we did.  We transformed our closet into a "Mini Mudroom", This whole process took about 3.5 days.  You will see a lot of how it all came along.  If any questions please email or text me and i'll let you know!  Here is the starting pics...

Here is the hallway before the remodel

Ok, maybe just a little messy...

Look who we found in the closet after we cleaned it out!!

Time to go to work!

BAM!!  Baby!

The first phase is done... We have a bench to sit...
The closest door on the right is our garage, where we come in 99% of the time.
The farthest set of closet doors is our kitchen pantry.

Yes, it's Level!

These are the after math of removing the hinges...

You can see the top of the closet had the same issues after we removed the door stops and the hinges

Ok, Now is when Kristen starts with her high attention to detail...

At this point i have already installed the waynes coating as you will see soon...

Oh Yea, look at that belly... So cute, she's all belly!

"Tag team back again..."

Soph is getting busy!

Getting close to the finished product with paint

Finished with the paint

Look at this cushion that Kristen made!

Hats and Scarfs go up top
and shoes and boots go down below!

Finished product with hooks for coats,  bags and purses

2 Happy Ladies

So this is the journey from

this...

to this!!!

I hope you enjoyed that... it was actually pretty fun to put it all together!!
Step 1. Build the bench
Step 2. Put up the waynes coating and the border
Step 3.  Make sure the hinges are kaulked up and mudded up
Step 4. Kaulk, Prime and Paint
Step 5. Make the cushion
Step 6. Just add hooks

The only thing i have to do at this point is add a light on the ceiling of  the closet... they should take 60-90 minutes to add everything.  So that's everything!!  Kristen loves it and that means i love it as well!!

Nesting in Full Effect!

So we are about 35 weeks now and will be 36 weeks come this Thursday the May 3rd.  Kristen is feeling surprisingly well!  She is moving around wonderfully, and looking wonderfully might I add as well!!  We have a busy week this week.  She has an appt this week on Wednesday and after that she starts her weekly visits from here on out!  We have also started working on a project...  I will only post the start pics now and will update the rest later this week!!  All in all this project took less than a week to finish.

So we are turning that closet into a mudroom, or something similar to a mudroom.  Lets just say we are redoing our closet.  As you can see it's a mess inside, so we are changing that!!

Stay tuned later this week!
