Gotta Love this weather!!

So we are obviously in Northern Indiana, and we came up here expecting to get hit with all kinds of snow.  This year we have been especially blessed!!  The area has had 13 inches of snow all year!!!  Get this... Last year we had 124 inches, and they said that was a tad high... 70-90 is about average per year.  13 is excellent though!!  Al Gore may have had it right with the whole ozone and global warming thing... NAH!!
Anyway, we have had a wonderful time playing in the beautiful weather!  The past 2 weeks has been in the Mid 70's or in the 80's!!  Yes Mid 70's or 80's!!  Amazing but true!  So you can see how much fun we have had playing outside!!  I hope you enjoy as much as we enjoyed being out there!

By the way, Kristen is 29 weeks along!  She starts her appts every 2 weeks now,  so we are officially on the clock!!  We are very excited!!

Oh, what fun we've had!

The Cuteness Strikes Again!!!

So today is Saturday, and of course it's one of my favorite days as i get to hang with the Family as much as possible!!  Todays temp was about 32 degrees with a wind chill of 21 degrees so it was pretty cold!  That being said we hung arond the house today and played around.  Sophia did have swim lessons this morning but after that we bunkered in...  Here are some pics of our fun day at home!!  Hope you enjoy!

Week 15

Our baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 4 inches and s/he now weighs approximately 1.75 ounces. Our baby is close to the size of a softball and you can visably see that Kristen is pregnant now! If she wears maternity clothes or some workout clothes, other people can tell that she is pregnant also. Most women at this point can feel their uterus about three to four inches below their bellybutton.

25 weeks to go.....

Our baby is growing at an amazing rate and looking more and more like a human every day. Because most  baby's skin is so thin, you are able to see blood vessels through the skin. Lanugo hair covers the baby's body, but it will be gone when our baby is born. The hair on the eyebrows and head continues to grow. Some babies are born with little or no hair and others have a head full of hair! If we have an ultrasound at this point, you might be able to see the baby sucking its thumb. Even though the eyes continue to move to the front of the face, they are still widely separated. Our baby's ears look like normal ears and continue to develop externally. The bones that have already formed continue to get harder and retain calcium. The baby is very mobile and flexible at this point. S/he can bend their arms at the elbows and wrists and s/he can also make a fist with their hands.

Christmas Tree Fun!!

So it wouldn't be Christmas time without a Christmas tree.  This year we decided to go to a "Tree Farm" and get one ourselves!!  As you will see in the pictures, Soph was an intrical part of the tree picking process.  We had a great time.  This was the same place we went to, when we went to the pumpkin patch.  It was not long at all... just a mere 3 hours of tree looking and they/we found our tree!!!

Just a quick measure before we get going...

We ended up in the Fraser Fir Section!

Decisions, Decisions... Where do we start?

Stop staring at my boots!  Don't hate me because i have fabulous boots!

What do you think of this one?? I don't know i think i see a family of squirels in it...
